Ab Initio Developer (Hadoop)

Elite Technical is seeking two Ab Initio Developers to support our customer, a Federal Healthcare Insurance organization, in Reston, VA. The selected candidate will be hands-on designing and implementing data integration, Big Data, and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.

Responsibilities and expectations include:

(1) Implementing complex data applications
(2) Implementing audit logs on input/output data flows
(3) Design, development and tuning industry leading ETL, Big Data, and/or Business Intelligence software tools in data intensive, large scale environments
(4) Working on newer or emerging trends such as Big Data, Columnar databases, NoSQL, Hadoop, MapReduce, social media, data visualization, XML, and unstructured text

Technologies; decision support systems (DSS), Big Data, Business Intelligence (BI), ETL, Ab Initio, Ab initio ICFF (Index compressed Flat Files) files, web services and integrating with IBM data power, Hadoop and the Hadoop ecosystem, Hive, Spark, Spark Streaming, Kafka, Sqoop, Flume, Hadoop MapReduce, DB2, Java, UNIX, Columnar databases, social media, data visualization, XML, and unstructured text.

This is a long-term contract position located in Reston VA (Hybrid, will have to report into the office on a as-needed basis). Required Skills

- 7+ years Database hands-on development experience including:
(1) Implementing complex data applications
(2) Data integration, Big Data, Business Intelligence software tools
(3) Ab Initio ETL experience
(4) Ab initio ICFF (Index compressed Flat Files) files
(5) Hadoop and the Hadoop ecosystem (Cloudera big plus)
(6) Hive, Spark, Spark Streaming, Kafka, Sqoop, Flume, etc.
(7) Strong SQL and data modelling skills
(8) 3rd normal form and dimensional modelling
(9) UNIX/Linux and DB2 database
(10) Integration with IBM DataPower is a PLUS
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Decision Support Systems (DSS) or Equivalent
- RedShift / AWS skills = Big Plus
