Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Application Tester Billing Systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and data integrity of our billing software applications. This role involves executing test scenarios, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate billing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review functional and technical requirements to design effective test cases and test plans.
• Execute both manual and automated tests for new features, bug fixes, and enhancements.
• Identify, document, and manage software defects using tools such as JIRA .
• Analyze test results, perform root cause analysis, and work with developers for timely issue resolution.
• Validate billing logic, charge calculations, invoicing workflows, and data consistency across systems.
• Conduct regression testing during upgrades, patches, and deployments.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and confirm expected outcomes.
• Assist in preparing test data and managing QA test environments.
• Support continuous improvement efforts in testing processes, tools, and documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science , Information Systems , or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in application or software testing, ideally within billing or financial systems .
• In-depth understanding of billing, invoicing, and financial transaction workflows.
• Proficient in using test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases and validating test data.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Nice to Have (Preferred):

• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Prior experience testing enterprise-level billing or ERP systems.
