They advance operational and technology improvements by executing cross-functional projects aimed at quality, service, affordability, and efficiency; addressing escalations to resolve system performance and safety issues; monitoring plans that integrate services across the continuum; and tracking performance metrics. They ensure safe, standardized care by continuously improving clinical practices and operations; maintaining compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements (including the Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and federal, state, and local regulations); and contributing to the design and implementation of systems and methods that evaluate and elevate patient care. Additional responsibilities include supporting investigations into patient and family concerns, collaborating with physicians and external providers, supervising the use and maintenance of equipment, supplies, and medications, fostering a safe environment for patients and staff, maintaining clinical expertise and required credentials, providing clinical supervision, delegating within scope of practice, and performing clinical duties as needed.
