We are currently seeking an Azure AKS DevOps Engineer to join our global Cloud team from anywhere in  Romania (RO) .

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Engineer to design, deploy, and manage containerized applications at scale using DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure DevOps, with a strong focus on automation, security, networking, and scalability in an Azure environment. This role involves managing AKS clusters, implementing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, and ensuring highly available, secure, and cost-efficient containerized workloads.

Job Responsibilities :

•    Design, deploy, and manage AKS clusters in a production environment.
•    Implement Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and management of AKS resources, including infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform (ideally), Bicep, or ARM templates.
•    Develop and deploy Docker containers and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes.
•    Configure and manage Kubernetes networking, including API Gateway, ingress controllers, Azure Load Balancers, VNETs, and service meshes (Istio, Linkerd, or Cilium).
•    Manage Helm charts for application packaging and deployment.
•    Secure AKS clusters using RBAC, IAM roles, Azure AD integration, pod security policies, and network policies.
•    Automate cluster scaling using Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA), Vertical Pod Autoscaler (VPA), and Cluster Autoscaler.
•    Monitor and troubleshoot AKS workloads using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, Loki, or ELK stack.
•    Optimize AKS cost, performance, and storage (Azure Files, Azure Disks, Blob Storage).
•    Implement Azure DevOps pipelines for AKS resource management using FluxCD or ArgoCD.
•    Lead and mentor technical teams, providing best practices for Kubernetes deployments and Azure cloud adoption.

Basic Qualifications :

•    Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) deployment, scaling, and management.
•    Strong expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO) for building, testing, and deploying Kubernetes applications and resources.
•    Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes based containerized application development.
•    Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including private endpoints, NAT gateways, and service endpoints.
•    Experience with Helm charts for Kubernetes application packaging and management.
•    Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
•    Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes deployments using Azure DevOps
•    Security expertise in AKS, including RBAC, IAM roles, pod security policies, Azure AD integration, and network security.
•    Proficiency in AKS monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and Fluentd.
•    Experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or FluxCD for managing Kubernetes workloads.
•    Strong understanding of Linux platform.
•    Strong ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with technical teams on best practices.

•    CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer)
•    CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist)
•    Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
•    Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

This position is remote and the working hours are 12:00-21:00.
