Job Description

Job Title: Busser and To Go Help

Location: Hearth

Part Time: Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays evenings + Occasional Coverage

Position Overview:

At Hearth, our mission is to create a warm, memorable dining experience where every guest feels at home. The Busser plays a key role in ensuring a clean, welcoming, and seamless environment for our guests while supporting both the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a team-oriented spirit.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Shift

  • Prepare and set the dining room to Hearth’s standards before service.
  • Ensure tables, chairs, floors, and service areas are clean and presentable.
  • Stock and organize supplies for the shift.

During Service

  • Buss and reset tables quickly and neatly, ensuring minimal wait times for guests.
  • Run food to tables, communicating clearly with servers and guests.
  • Restock service stations, glassware, silverware, and other essentials throughout the shift.
  • Assist FOH team with guest needs to ensure a seamless and elevated dining experience.
  • Support BOH with tasks as needed, maintaining smooth communication between the kitchen and dining room.
  • Run to-go food to the host stand and warmly greet guests as they arrive for food pick up.

Post-Shift

  • Clean and reset the dining room for the next service.
  • Take out trash and assist with end-of-shift duties.
  • Restock supplies and support the team in final closing responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18+ and out of high school.
  • Flexible schedule with Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday night availability.
  • Prior experience in hospitality is preferred but not required.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with a guest-first mindset.
  • Strong customer service skills and comfortability managing guest’s questions and feedback.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods.
