Job Description

Job Title: Cardiovascular Technician - Cardiac Cath Lab

Duties:

1. Monitor patient vital signs, including blood pressure, and report significant changes to the physician.
2. Interpret intracardiac pressures to guide catheter positioning during procedures.
3. Document pressures in all requested heart chambers.
4. Maintain a detailed procedural record using the Cardiac Cath Lab computer system.
5. Calibrate and operate equipment such as A-Vox, Cardiac Output monitors, and ACT machines during procedures.
6. Supply physicians with necessary tools, including catheters, wires, balloons, and stents.
7. Analyze and process procedural data for comprehensive reporting.
8. Set up and manage the intra-aortic balloon pump, including initial timing and adjustments with the physician.
9. Stay with the patient during intra-aortic balloon pump procedures until the transfer to the appropriate unit.

Skills:

• Experience in emergency procedures, including defibrillation and external pacing.
• Proficiency with cardiac catheterization equipment and sterile techniques.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Applicable work experience may substitute educational requirements.

Pay Range:

• Weekly: $1,850 - $2,050
• Monthly: $7,400 - $8,200
