Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Caregiver with Giving Hearts Home Care, you will provide essential home care for elderly individuals, focusing on activities of daily living (ADLs) and non-medical care. This vital role involves:

• Assisting with stand-by care, including bathing and dressing.
• Helping clients with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Providing supervision and companionship.
• Offering medication reminders.
• Preparing and serving meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Assisting with walks and exercise.
• Accompanying clients to medical appointments (requiring driving patients sometimes).
• Performing light housekeeping and laundry, including making beds and changing lines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must speak English.

Education & Experience

• At least a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Own reliable vehicle.
• Must possess at least one (1) of the following licenses/certifications:
  • - PCA (Personal Care Aide)
  • - HHA (Home Health Aide)
  • - CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)
• A minimum of 2 years of caregiving experience is preferred. We are open to interviewing highly qualified candidates with less experience if they are fully authorized to work in the U.S.
• Background Checks: Successful completion of a background check and a PPD (Tuberculosis) test is mandatory.
• Work Authorization: Must have a Social Security Number and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
