Housing Case Manager - Emergency Shelter

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is working with a respected non-profit organization in Haverhill, MA to fill several full-time Housing Case Manager positions. This is a meaningful opportunity to support individuals experiencing homelessness by helping them secure stable housing and access essential services.

The organization is committed to training and supporting the right candidates to grow into the role.

Position Details

• Location: Openings in Haverhill, MA and Lowell, MA

• Facility Type: Emergency Homeless Shelter

• Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 AM - 4 PM or 9 AM - 5 PM with one 10 AM - 6 PM shift during the week or weekend

• Duration: 13 weeks to start, with strong potential for extension

• Pay Rate: $21-$23/hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist homeless individuals in securing stable housing and connecting to community services

• Provide ongoing stabilization support and landlord/tenant mediation

• Conduct interviews and assessments for shelter guests after five days of stay

• Develop individualized case plans and monitor progress through weekly meetings

• Facilitate referrals and applications to housing programs, service providers, and benefits

• Maintain detailed progress notes and monthly stabilization reports

• Build and maintain relationships with housing agencies, landlords, and community partners

Qualifications

• Experience in human services or customer service preferred

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred but not required

• Valid driver's license required

• Must pass CORI and driving record checks

• Individuals with lived experience of housing insecurity or homelessness are strongly encouraged to apply

• COVID-19 vaccination required

• Ability to walk stairs and occasionally lift/move up to 30 lbs
