This position is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working night shifts (7 AM to 7 PM) at a Montana State Hospital, providing direct patient care to adult psychiatric patients. The CNA will assist with daily living activities, health-related tasks, and patient transport, while adhering to established protocols and collaborating with the healthcare team. Prior experience in adult psychiatric facilities and de-escalation techniques are required.

Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with basic hygiene (bathing, oral hygiene, dressing).
- Perform health-related tasks (vital signs, specimen collection, emergency assistance).
- Transport residents to appointments and provide assistance as needed.
- Accurately record observations and report information.
- Maintain constructive working relationships with colleagues and patients.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in de-escalation techniques.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Montana Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification.
- Minimum two years of experience working with individuals in a healthcare setting or group home (preferably in an adult psychiatric facility).
- Basic knowledge of personal hygiene.
- Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
- One year of travel contract experience.
Special Considerations:
- Night shift (7 AM to 7 PM).

- Float pool assignment.
- Must be able to work holidays.
