Job description

Job Title: Cloud Engineer (Azure)

Location: Remote (EST Hours)

Contract Duration: 12 months (with possible extension for ongoing needs)

Rate : $55 to $60 /hr on w2

Overview:

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Azure to support our evolving cloud infrastructure needs following a recent organizational restructure. These roles will help address increased workloads and support cross-functional initiatives within our application and data teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development, optimization, and automation of Azure-based cloud solutions.
• Work within a Scaled Agile Framework (SaFE), actively participating in backlog grooming and refinement sessions.
• Provide technical input and recommendations to improve existing backlog items and identify gaps.
• Collaborate with application and data teams to ensure infrastructure and network solutions meet project requirements.
• Support and optimize services within an Application Service Environment (ASE).
• Configure and manage Private Endpoints and Azure Private Link for secure access.
• Assist with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation using tools like ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.

• Troubleshoot network configurations and support secure connectivity between services.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3 5 years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.
• Proficiency in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Databricks, and automation tools.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform).
• Experience with Private Endpoints, Private Link, and ASE configuration.
• Basic networking knowledge (VNet, NSGs, routing).
• Experience working within a SaFE Agile environment and contributing to backlogs.
