About This Role:
The Contract and Vendor Management Branch (CVMB) is responsible for the California Medicaid Management Information System (CA-MMIS) Operations Division's activities related to the Medi-Cal Fiscal Intermediary (FI) Contract(s); Information Technology (IT) and non-IT Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Contract(s), and CA-MMIS support contract(s). CVMB assists the CA-MMIS Division in procuring services and system contracts, maintaining, monitoring and managing several vital individual CA-MMIS solutions contracts. CVMB provides invoice management and critical vendor management and quality management services. The Contract Compliance & Negotiation Unit (CCNU) within CVMB provides the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) CA-MMIS Operations Division lead expertise in the procurement of major IT and non-IT service, M&O contracts and contract management activities. The Associate Governmental Program analyst (AGPA) monitors contractor compliance. Provides technical analysis, verification and tracking of all deliverables, operational letters, Official Contract Correspondence (OCC) letters and other controlled correspondences for the FIs and other vendors. The AGPA serves as a CA-MMIS contract expert and is responsible for conducting and researching independent, critical, and analytical studies of complex FI contract requirements, presenting recommendations for the development of CA-MMIS FI policies and procedures, and FI contract compliance matters. The incumbent acts as a subject matter expert on critical aspects as it relates to formal correspondence procedures and practices between DHCS and the FIs.

This work location is very convenient! The CA-MMIS Division is located in West Sacramento near IKEA and Walmart. There are several restaurants and fast-food locations nearby, with Starbucks within walking distance. This location has easy access to I-80 and has FREE parking!
The incumbent works in an office setting with artificial light and temperature control. The ability to use a personal computer and telephone is essential. The incumbent must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position at a workstation throughout the day and must occasionally position self to perform a variety of tasks including retrieval of files.
