Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced interim Controller to join a dynamic AI technology company based in Palo Alto, California. In this long-term contract position, you will lead global accounting functions, oversee compliance, and support strategic growth initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to build and strengthen scalable financial systems while working closely with senior leadership. Responsibilities: - Oversee core accounting operations, including general ledger management, monthly close processes, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, payroll, treasury, and tax compliance. - Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and international standards. - Lead efforts to optimize accounting processes, such as accelerating monthly closures and enhancing automation through NetSuite. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, and Business Systems, to align accounting practices with organizational goals. - Manage accounting for mergers and acquisitions, new entity setups, and global expansion initiatives. - Develop and implement internal controls to meet audit and regulatory standards, ensuring investor-grade financial readiness. - Mentor and lead a global accounting team, fostering growth and building a strong leadership pipeline. - Oversee statutory compliance across various jurisdictions to ensure adherence to local regulations. - Provide financial insights and strategic guidance to support decision-making by executive leadership Requirements - Minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including managing global teams. - Deep expertise in US GAAP and international compliance standards, with familiarity in Indian regulations preferred. - Proven track record in high-growth technology environments, including experience with audit readiness and scaling operations. - Advanced proficiency in NetSuite and a strong understanding of financial systems and automation. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic financial insights. - Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities, with a focus on team development. - Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and statutory compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
