Position Summary:

Receive, distribute and transport mail, materials, supplies and specimens to designated personnel and/or departments; perform a broad range of general clerical duties. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• RECORDS - Prepare and maintain various records and logs to include vehicle mileage and fuel
• CLERICAL SUPPORT - Perform a broad range of general duties to include typing and filing
• CUSTOMER SERVICE - Provide quality customer service; respond to requests and pages in a timely manner
• MAIL AND MATERIALS - Receive, distribute and transport mail, materials, supplies and specimens to designated personnel and/or departments
• RELATED WORK - Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications

Education:

Essential:

• High School or GED Equivalent

Experience:

Essential:

1/2 year (6 months) directly related experience

Nonessential:

No preferred experience

Credentials:

Essential:

• Valid New Mexico Driver's License
• UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit w/in 60 days

Physical Conditions:

Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

• Subject to random alcohol and substance testing
