Job Description

Kali Smiles Kids in Pleasant Hill, CA is currently seeking a motivated and reliable Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a dental setting, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be committed to providing exceptional patient care. 

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures and surgeries
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Perform dental charting, documentation, and recordkeeping
• Provide chair-side assistance for various dental procedures (fillings, crown and bridge work, extractions, & root canals)
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in dental assisting from an accredited program is preferred. 
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
• Current CPR certification
• Proficient in taking dental X-rays and dental charting
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Detail-oriented and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Must have infectious disease control certification
• Proficient in dental software and computer skills
