Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a hybrid, full-time, ambitious Engineer in our Pittsburgh, PA office. Candidates must have a B.S. in environmental, chemical, or civil engineering, chemistry, or other related field and at least 5 years of design experience, with a focus on groundwater treatment, process engineering, and site remediation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage design projects involving groundwater treatment for site remediation, process design, hydraulic analysis, and equipment, piping, and instrumentation selection and layout;
  • Provide technical assistance for the operations, optimization, and troubleshooting of existing groundwater treatment facilities;
  • Coordinate PFAS investigation and treatment, and have familiarity with PFAS sampling and regulations;
  • Liaise with State and Federal agencies, and the preparation of permit applications;
  • Provide technical oversight, reporting, and occasional management of contractors for quality assurance;
  • Complete project planning and reporting activities; and,
  • Take an active role in business development activities.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience as a process engineer and a project manager, and will have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum B.S. degree (environmental or chemical engineering, or related field) with 5+ years of professional experience related to water treatment and process engineering;
  • Experience with groundwater treatment processes, piping and instrumentation diagrams, hydraulic analysis, and detailed design for treatment facilities, including equipment selection and layout;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and teamwork spirit;
  • Superior problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
  • Experience conducting work under federal and state regulatory programs;
  • OSHA 40-hour training preferred, and;
  • Valid driver’s license.
