As our company continues to grow, we’re seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Equipment Operator / Yard Manager .
The Equipment Operator / Yard Manager will oversee daily yard operations, maintain equipment, and support hauling crews. This role combines hands-on work with management responsibilities and requires someone who can lead by example, stay organized, and ensure safety standards are always met.
Safely operate company equipment including skid steers, mini excavators, trucks, and trailers.
Manage and maintain the yard, ensuring tools, vehicles, and materials are organized and ready for daily use.
Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment.
Coordinate with hauling crews to load/unload materials and prepare equipment for jobs.
Supervise yard staff, ensuring productivity, safety, and adherence to company standards.
Monitor inventory of tools, supplies, and fuel; communicate needs for replenishment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Proven experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer, mini excavator, etc.).
Valid driver’s license.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions.
Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment maintenance.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Previous yard, construction, or hauling industry experience preferred.
Pay starting at $25/hour, based on experience .
