Older gentleman looking to hire a Family Assistant/Care aide in West Chester, PA!

Summary of a Client

• A Family Assistant/Care Aide for a senior citizen with some health challenges living in a  single-family house in West Chester, PA.
• Client does not drive: FA/Care Aide will have use of the client’s car for  performing duties.
• Five days a week Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Occasional weekend coverage may be required
• There are no pets or children
• Competitive weekly salary, 2-weeks vacation and US Holidays
• Starting date to be negotiated

Required skills:

• Exceptional organizational skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple  deadlines, and work efficiently. 
• Excellent communication skills: Clear and concise verbal and written  communication to interact with various vendors. 
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, calendar applications, and other relevant  software. 
• Attention to detail: Ability to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks. 
• Specific Functions Include: (a) Health and Medication (b) Food Preparation and  Serving, (c) Housekeeping Tasks and (d) Personal Assistance

(a) Health and Medication

• Scheduling and following up with doctors’ office appointments
• Scheduling and following up with hospital stays, lab and imaging tests
• Driving to doctors’ appointments and lab and hospital appointments
• Fill the weekly and biweekly medication tray
• Order prescriptions from OptumRx or local pharmacy
• Check client vitals: check temperature, oximeter reading and blood pressure

(b) Food Preparation and Serving

• Shops for grocery and household needs
• Plans, prepares and serves salt free and nutritionally balanced meals
• Prepares and serves three meals a day for the client promoting health living

(c) Housekeeping Tasks

• Cleaning: Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize surfaces
• Making beds: Change sheets and distribute towels
• Stocking supplies: Replenish toiletries, kitchen supplies, and other supplies
• Inspecting: Check for damage or safety hazards of the house
• Laundry:  washing, drying, ironing, and sorting linen and clothing

*The client may hire an additional person to do deep cleaning on a regular
basis.
(d) Personal Assistance 

• Calendar management:  dining out and family visits
• Correspondence management: Answering phone calls, emails, and managing  incoming correspondence.   
• Running personal errands as needed, like making appointments, picking up
• Laundry

Position Requirements

• Work Hours:– M-F 9AM-5PM
• Languages: English
• Experience:5 Years of Experience
• References:Minimum of 2 References
• Background:Background check upon contingent offer of hire
• Personality Traits: Warm, quiet, polite, intelligent, can work well on their own.

Position Compensation

• Salary:$30-$38/hour
• Vacation: 2 weeks PTO, paid holidays
