️ Maintenance Technician – Hyatt Place Houston Downtown

Location: Houston, Texas

We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician who takes pride in ensuring that every space—from guest rooms to public areas—is safe, functional, and inviting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve guest room maintenance issues promptly and professionally.
• Inspect and maintain public areas, meeting rooms, and back-of-house facilities.
• Respond to maintenance service requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and communicate major issues to the Chief Engineer or General Manager.
• Ensure all work complies with Hyatt safety and brand standards.
• Assist with seasonal projects, renovations, and special maintenance initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of general maintenance experience (hospitality experience a plus).
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
