We are seeking an experienced Home Health & Hospice Educator to join our team and help shape the future of healthcare by training and mentoring healthcare professionals. Job Summary: As a Home Health & Hospice Educator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering educational programs that enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals in the home health and hospice sector. Your role will focus on staff training, competency development, and compliance with industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and implement training programs for home health and hospice staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. * Provide hands-on training, mentorship, and support to nurses and healthcare providers. * Conduct orientation sessions for new hires, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet job expectations. * Evaluate staff competency and provide continuous education on policies, procedures, and clinical skills. * Stay updated on industry trends, CMS regulations, and accreditation requirements to maintain compliance and quality standards. * Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and implement effective educational strategies. * Support quality assurance initiatives and promote evidence-based practices within home health and hospice care. * Utilize various teaching methods, including in-person training, e-learning modules, and hands-on demonstrations. * Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among healthcare staff. Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred. * Experience: Minimum of 2 years in home health, hospice, or a related healthcare setting. * Background: Previous experience in teaching, preceptorship, or staff education required. * Licensure: Active RN license in Connecticut. * Strong knowledge of home health and hospice regulations, guidelines, and best practices. * Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to adapt training methods to different learning styles and levels of experience. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
