**Job Summary and Responsibilities** The incumbent accurately and efficiently performs all necessary laboratory services, which may include but are not limited to, patient registration, test ordering, pre-analytical and post-analytical specimen processing, communicating results or other relevant report data, and limited reporting functions. Processes all specimens with appropriate use of the hospital and laboratory information systems. Includes other duties as assigned in accordance with job function and policy. **Job Requirements** **Requirements:** + 6 months experience in a Microbiology Laboratory and/ or Microbiology Coursework. + 6 months experience in an acute care facility. Preferred. + Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory terminology aseptic technique laboratory tests and specimen handling and blood collection techniques as demonstrated by CAP required competency assessment and organizational requirements. **Where You'll Work** Nestled in the heart of East Sacramento, Dignity Health Mercy General Hospital is a 313 bed acute care facility that provides a wide range of services with special advocacy for the poor and underserved.
