Legal Assistant / Receptionist

We are a thriving creditor rights law firm seeking a personable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Receptionist/Legal Assistant. This entry-level position is ideal for those looking to gain experience in the legal field and develop their professional skills.

As a Legal Assistant/Receptionist, you will be responsible for:

• Communicating with debtors to understand their financial situations and explore resolution options.
• Negotiating payment plans and settlements in accordance with legal guidelines and firm policies.
• Preparing and processing legal documents, including payment agreements and settlement offers.
• Maintaining accurate and organized records of all communications and transactions.
• Responding to debtor inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
• Assisting attorneys with case management and administrative tasks as needed.
• Utilizing legal software and databases to manage case information.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Effective time management and multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment
• Capacity to work independently or as part of a team
• Discretion in handling confidential information with professionalism
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Prior legal knowledge or experience is a plus, not required
