We are seeking a Board-Certified Neonatology Physician to provide high-quality inpatient care in a Level III NICU in Wichita, Kansas. This role offers 24-hour in-house coverage for a large, busy NICU with 60 beds, providing an excellent opportunity to work alongside a supportive team of residents, nurse practitioners, and experienced neonatologists.
Assignment Details:
NICU Level: Level III (60 beds)
Shift Type: 24-hour in-house coverage
Schedule: Per diem; approximately 4–5 shifts per month
Services Covered: All NICU services except ECMO and heart surgery
Support Team: Residents and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care to critically ill neonates in the Level III NICU
Collaborate with residents, nurse practitioners, and attending neonatologists to ensure continuity and quality of care
Participate in daily rounds, bedside procedures, and management of NICU patients
Respond to neonatal emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
Document patient care accurately in the hospital’s EMR system
Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives within the NICU
Requirements:
Board Certified in Neonatology (Board Eligible not accepted)
Active Kansas medical license
Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience in a NICU setting
