Maintenance Technician Part Time (2nd Shift)
Pay: $23.87 per hour
Shift & Working Hours: 2nd shift 3pm - 11pm
As a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facility equipment and systems. This part-time position focuses on both routine and emergency maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on maximizing asset reliability, availability, and operational efficiency. You'll work in a fast-paced production environment where safety, cleanliness, and compliance are top priorities.
This role is part of our Dairy Food business who creates dairy products that stand for real, simple goodness. We believe there's power in every drop of milk our farmers produce, and by improving production and finding innovative uses for that milk, we add a little good to people's lives.
Key Responsibilities: * Must perform all Master Sanitation List requirements.
* Performance of duties assigned with focus on safety, quality, and GMPs.
* Execute work orders on time as assigned by planner/scheduler, maintenance supervisor or other members of management as assigned in proper priority.
* Calibration of any/all equipment and instruments as assigned.
* Responsible for housekeeping of all work areas during and following performed work.
* Responsible for housekeeping of all maintenance shop and parts storage areas as assigned.
Required Experience and Skills: * Currently pursuing or have completed a degree in a Mechanical Trades program.
* Must have the ability to run various computer applications that apply to the department and business to an acceptable degree, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Products, and CMMS program, etc.
* Must be able to do mathematical calculations.
* Must be 18 years or older
* 1 year or more of work experience in any industry
* Basic com skills
* Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions in English
* Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
* Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful
Physical Requirements: • Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
