Job Title: Oracle SQL Developer

Location: 99 Jefferson Rd Parsippany, NJ 07054 (hybrid 3 days onsite Tues-Thurs)

Duration: 12-month contract to perm position

Must have:

• 8+ years as SQL / PL SQL developer
• 8+ with Oracle back-end development and Oracle DBA PostgreSQL experience
• 6+ years of shell experience

• 8+ years of experience as a Database/SQL Developer in a fast-paced agile environment preferably in a product development environment.
• Deep expertise on database internals, expert level PL/SQL development skills, expert level SQL development skills and Python/Shell programming experience
• 8+ years with high level experience in all aspects of Oracle databases and features. Deep knowledge and working experience in Oracle Virtual Private Database (VPD) and expert level Oracle Partitioning experience is desired. Experience in RDS Oracle and RDS PostgreSQL is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Research, Design, Develop, and/or modify applications using SQL, PL/SQL or Python.
• Prototyping solutions and recommending the adoption of new technologies and continually improve our client experience.
• Development and Deployment of application database changes / releases to production and non-production environments
• Self-reliant, hands-on position on the team to lead and drive code quality, maintain application stability in an agile environment.
• Collaborate with database team peers, product owners, UX/UI, Internal/External stakeholders and globally distributed teams to understand requirements and develop application in compliance to client needs
• Assist in the development of overall feature and focusing on the outcome and deliverables either meeting or exceeding expectations
• Define engineering best practices and mentor teams to write elegant code using effective automated unit tests & Test-Driven Development methodologies
• Develop specifications for new database services.
