The Physical Education (P.E.) Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive physical education program that promotes students’ physical fitness, health, and wellness in alignment with Catholic values and the mission of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. The teacher will foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where all students are encouraged to develop lifelong habits of physical activity, teamwork, and personal responsibility.

Model and uphold the values and teachings of the Catholic Church in all interactions.
Support and participate in school-wide religious activities, liturgies, and community service.
Encourage good sportsmanship, respect, and integrity consistent with Gospel values.
Instructional Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate physical education lessons in accordance with Archdiocesan and state standards.
Promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, motor skills development, and cooperative play.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.
Use assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
Classroom & Behavior Management
Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
Establish and enforce consistent rules and expectations for student behavior.
Foster a respectful, inclusive, and positive atmosphere in class and during school activities.
Collaboration & Communication
Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student development and wellness.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field (required)
Missouri state teaching certification in Physical Education (required or ability to obtain)
Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the mission and values of Catholic education
Previous teaching or coaching experience in a school setting (preferred)
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement
