Acara Solutions is looking for a Process Plant Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client on a Temp to Hire opportunity located in Woodlands, TX, who specialize in industrial gases and engineering. 

Pay Rate: $40- 50/hr. DOE

Position Summary: 

We are seeking a Associate level Plant Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in process plant design and process plant equipment layouts, preferably of ASU, LNG, and CO2 plants and equipment. The position will work closely with lead designer and project engineering manager to support plant design layouts and construction drawings packages.

Here is what you will do: 

• Design / draft mechanical piping systems and components for process plants specifically industrial gases and cryogenic fluid.  Preferably design experience of ASU, LNG, and CO₂ equipment.
• Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software to create detailed technical drawings and models.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize designs for performance, cost, and constructability.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience 2D/3D CAD design software.
• Associates degree mechanical technology / drafting process piping design or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Good communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel including internationally for short-term assignments, as needed.
