Position Overview: We are seeking a Quality manager to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the company as the Quality Manager leading our Quality department. The Quality Manager supervises and assists shop personnel with the interpretation of conformance to customer quality requirements. Implementation of planning, developing, initiating, coordinating, and maintaining effective and efficient procedures for quality assurance inspections. Provide support and assistance throughout the company to maintain ISO standards. Core Responsibilities Include: Scheduling inspections throughout the manufacturing process Interpretation of conformance to customer quality requirements Review of customer drawings and specifications Determination of necessary inspection points Maintenance of adequate quality control records Review of quality control records and internal corrective action follow up Periodic inspection of all special and standard gauges, test equipment and tooling used in the inspection process Coordinate in plant corrective action on parts rejected by the customer. Notify customer of the action taken and evaluate the action for effectiveness Maintain Internal Quality Audit system and submit records for management review. Provide support and assistance throughout the company to maintain ISO standards Provide on-going ISO training for new hires and update training for all personnel as required. Must be able to set up and operate CMM Job Requirements Must possess good organizational and interpersonal skills. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints NQA-1 nuclear quality assurance standard experience preferred but not required Must be able to use the following measuring devices: Tape Measure, Verniers, Micrometers, CMM Equipment Must have knowledge of the metal fabricating process Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards Experience with instrument calibration. The Ideal Candidate Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records Must be able to multi-task and respond to shifting priorities while meeting deadlines Education Requirements Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required Physical and Mental Requirements Physical Requirement: Must have fine motor skills; ability to do a repetitive motion; and the ability to sit for most of the day. Mobility requirement must be enough to move between the office and the production floor Visual Requirement:Must be able to read documents and a computer screen Hearing Requirement:Must be able to hear and speak on the telephone and in person to convey information Mental Requirement:Comprehension, Organization, Reasoning, Decision Making, and Communication Benefits Benefits package includes health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401K, life insurance more.
