Overview:

Operating Room Nurse Manager – Beebe Healthcare

Beebe Healthcare is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager (RN) to lead our high-performing surgical services teams at our Lewes and Rehoboth Beach campuses. This leadership role is responsible for the planning, organization, and implementation of all perioperative nursing services to ensure exceptional quality, patient safety, and operational excellence. This position reports to the Director for Perioperative Services.

The Nurse Manager, Operating Room oversees daily operations, fiscal management, and performance improvement initiatives within the OR, ensuring compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. This role manages all aspects of personnel processes—including hiring, training, and performance development—while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

As a clinical resource and key member of Beebe’s nursing leadership team , the OR Nurse Manager will provide expert guidance in surgical patient care, oversee quality and performance audits, and actively participate in risk management and process improvement projects. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, decisive leadership, and the ability to drive change in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Directs and coordinates the overall operations of the Operating Room.

• Oversees staff scheduling, education, and professional development.

• Manages departmental budgets and ensures efficient resource utilization.

• Leads quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

• Collaborates across departments to promote continuity of care and operational efficiency.

• Serves as a clinical expert and mentor for the perioperative nursing team.

Qualifications:

• Operating room nursing experience required
• Prior leadership experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds, training and experience.

Essential:
* RN - Registered Nurse

* RN Diploma/RN Graduate Program
