The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, a part of a rich legacy of compassionate care since 1909, now offers 378 licensed beds, a history of innovation, and strong community support.

Responsibilities:

The Medical Social Worker, MSW, provides direct discharge planning services and assistance with psychosocial services for the patient and family.
Collaborates with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to develop a discharge plan in relation to the patient's health care needs.
Utilizes broad experience and knowledge of appropriate healthcare resources for patients of all ages.
Promotes continuity through communication of the patient's plan of care.
Reports to the Clinical Resource Management Coordinator.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

Master of Social Work degree.
Kansas Licensure at the LMSW level.

Preferred Job Requirements:

Two semesters of graduate field experience in healthcare setting for a new graduate or previous experience in healthcare setting for an experienced graduate.
