Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Office (Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in office)
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 annually
About the Role: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role will involve managing accounting tasks, supporting financial planning and analysis, and providing valuable insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with general ledger accounting and data analysis to drive financial strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Post monthly journal entry accruals to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy between workpapers and the Working Trial Balance (WTB).
• Reconcile inventory and allocate COGS to ongoing projects monthly.
• Identify discrepancies in inventory costs across different warehouses.
• Prepare and maintain intercompany schedules, validating balances between entities.
• Assist with periodic audits, providing pre-audit support.
• Ensure proper recording of adjusting journal entries.
• Support deferred revenue management and compliance with accounting standards (ASC 606).
• Perform financial analysis to track trends, variances, and business opportunities.
• Analyze revenue, COGS, expenses, and margins at both corporate and product/customer levels.
• Maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
• Communicate key financial insights to management and non-financial stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of general ledger experience in accounting.
• 4-6+ years of experience with QuickBooks, Netsuite, or similar ERP systems.
• Experience with hardware and SaaS financial analysis is a plus.
