Job Description

Job Title: Studio Photographer.

Location: Dallas, TX.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Company Overview:

Milton & King is a leading international design house specializing in premium wallcoverings. We are committed to delivering exceptional products, outstanding customer service, and innovative design solutions to the trade and retail markets. At Milton & King, we believe wallpaper is more than a backdrop - it’s a canvas for creativity, designed to inspire design professionals and clients seeking elevated interior solutions.

Position Summary:

We’re seeking a Studio Photographer & Retoucher to join our in-house creative team. This role is hands-on and detail-driven, responsible for capturing and retouching high-quality product and editorial photography for our website, catalogs, press, and marketing campaigns. Responsibilities will be split between in-studio shooting and post-production work, depending on project needs.

The Studio Photographer & Retoucher will report directly to our in-house Visual Brand Director/Art Director , collaborating closely to ensure all imagery reflects our brand’s vision and standards. This is a growth-oriented role, offering the opportunity to take on increasing creative ownership over time. It’s also a chance to grow with the company and play a pivotal role in shaping our photography program - influencing the overall look and feel of our imagery and helping to develop a distinctive visual identity for the Milton & King brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture in-studio product photography, ensuring images align with brand standards and accurately represent wallpaper color, pattern, and texture.
  • Retouch product images, maintaining color fidelity and consistency across all assets.
  • Organize and manage files as part of the studio workflow, ensuring efficiency and accessibility.
  • Set up and breakdown lighting, staging, and equipment for shoots.
  • Occasionally shoot styled location photos, overseeing transport, setup, and breakdown of lighting equipment.
  • Assist our stylist with staging wallpaper products for flat-lay photos, room scenes and styled vignettes.
  • Maintain and organize studio equipment and shooting spaces.
  • Adhere to deadlines and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Problem solve as issues arise on set, demonstrating flexibility, a willingness to pivot, and a positive can-do attitude.
  • Work with our art director to bring shoot concepts to life with an emphasis on thinking out of the box to execute big ideas.
  • Collaborate with our international art studio, design, and marketing teams to deliver imagery that supports storytelling and campaign needs.
  • Help establish a distinctive visual style for the brand, continuing to strive for excellence as that vision evolves and improves over time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Visual Communication, or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a commercial studio or agency setting (home goods, interiors, or product photography experience a plus).
  • Video experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in Capture One and Photoshop.
  • Strong technical knowledge of lighting, cameras, tethering, studio workflows, and post-production retouching.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional eye for color accuracy and visual consistency.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Able to take direction, comfortably working both independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Interest in contributing creatively to the visual identity of a growing brand.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be in or willing to relocate to Dallas, TX.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation package.
  • A collaborative, creative work environment with opportunities for professional growth within a global design brand.
  • The opportunity to play a key role in shaping how our designs are presented to the world.
