The Systems Engineer will provide system engineering support to an existing team that provides full life cycle support to a vital enterprise Human Resource Applications and Services organization. The candidate must be a strong systems engineer that is comfortable working on a team of senior & junior developers and help desk for operational systems. This individual must be willing to tackle challenges and be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced, highly visible team environment. Primary responsibilities will be acting as the direct liaison between leadership and the development team to establish priorities, facilitating agile processes, communicating with team members and end user customers. The individual will need to work with the technical team and leadership to prepare schedule inputs, communicate dependencies, impediments, and risks and communicate with Freedom Program Management team. This position is 100% Onsite and not Remote.
Systems Engineer Qualifications:
– A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 14 years of experience as a Systems Engineer. 19 years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
– Key Technologies include AngularJS, Postgres, Ansible, Docker, JavaScript, Linux, GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
– Experience with Atlassian Suite products including Confluence and Managing Jira.
– Experience in a team lead role of diverse skillsets and experience levels.
– Experience with Agile development methodologies.
– Strong project leadership skills to include identifying opportunities, risks and communicating with all levels of contractor and Government leadership.
– Willingness to learn and develop a strong understanding of new technologies and products.
– Experience developing and updating technical documentation including project schedules.
– Experience with requirements management to include working with customers to capture clear definition of done.
