We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to create and edit technical documents, user manuals, and procedural documentation that meet organizational standards. This role will involve collaborating with engineers, programmers, and project managers to ensure the technical content is accurate, clear, and tailored to the audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and edit technical documents, including reference and product manuals, user guides, and procedural documentation.
• Determine the most effective publication type for the project (print, photos, or video).
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and project managers to understand specific products or processes.
• Research product samples to ensure a thorough understanding of the product.
• Assess audience needs and adjust the tone and technical terms for clarity.
• Plan the writing process, establish timelines, and meet deadlines.
• Create and maintain an ongoing project spreadsheet with notes and progress updates.
• Design or collaborate with graphic designers to create diagrams, charts, and visual aids.
• Evaluate existing content and propose innovative improvements.
• Maintain detailed databases of reference materials, including research and design specifications.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA).
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook. Familiarity with Photoshop is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner.
• Strong writing and grammatical skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams to enhance user experience, refine content, and create visuals and diagrams.
