Traffic Engineer
Civil Engineering Firm – Northern Suburbs of Boston, MA

A well-established civil engineering firm located in the northern suburbs of Boston is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of transportation and site development projects for public and private sector clients throughout Massachusetts and New England.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare traffic impact and transportation studies for land development and municipal projects
• Conduct traffic analyses, capacity analyses, and safety evaluations
• Develop mitigation strategies, roadway and intersection improvement concepts
• Coordinate with municipalities, state agencies, and project stakeholders
• Support permitting and public hearing processes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and planning teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of traffic/transportation engineering experience
• Working knowledge of traffic analysis software (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM, HCS, SIDRA)
• Familiarity with MassDOT standards and local municipal review processes preferred
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• PE license or EIT with path to licensure preferred
