Position Title: Travel Phlebotomist – Laboratory

Location: Harwich, MA

Job Type: Contract | Travel

Shift: Days (8×5)

Duration: 13-Week Assignment

Hourly Pay: $30–$36/hr

Weekly Pay: $1,125–$1,350/week

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws; collect and transport specimens to the laboratory.
• Provide accurate patient instructions for proper specimen collection procedures.
• Notify the Clinical Laboratory of changes in patient orders.
• Maintain and restock supplies on carts and in designated storage areas.
• Recommend improvements in quality, workflow, or efficiency to leadership.
• Uphold confidentiality and maintain professional, cooperative relationships with staff, patients, and visitors.
• Ensure work areas remain clean, sanitary, and free of clutter for patient and staff safety.
• Participate in professional development activities to remain current with phlebotomy and laboratory standards.
• Follow all departmental and hospital policies, including fire and disaster plans.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.
• Completion of Medical Terminology I or comparable course
  
  OR at least 6 months of experience in a role requiring medical terminology (e.g., CNA, Unit Clerk, E.R. Clerk, Medical Records Clerk, Lab Info Coordinator).
• Completion of an 80-hour traineeship or basic phlebotomy program with classroom and hands-on experience.
• Phlebotomy Certification required.
• Computer proficiency
