Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite for our client in North York, ON .  Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• The Vehicle Technician shall provide field support for the maintenance, repairs, and operation of vehicles for the ECLRT project. 
• Provide technical expertise to subcontractors, project teams, and less experienced personnel. 
• Responsible for troubleshooting equipment and operating portable test equipment, testing devices, and special tools towards execution of support activities. 
• The Technician ensures and respects EHS rules to execute all requested activities safely.
• The Technician will ensure all information 􀆟 on equipment and parts is available and prepared to ensure efficient execution.
• Perform a variety of assignments, such as replacing failed parts or equipment, testing, operation, and maintaining the fleet.
• Perform various maintenance activities on the vehicle under the supervision of the site supervisor.
• Report and record the incidents of electromechanical equipment/subsystem failures and perform preliminary troubleshooting; contact engineering or supplier for solution if necessary.
• Report any damage or shortage of parts/tools to the logistic department to request replacement parts or order spares, consumables, and tools.
• Based on instructions from engineering and supplier, design test/investigate methods and set up tests. Then, report test results to engineering and supplier to improve design/product quality.

Pay: $28.00/ hr

Hours: 40 hrs / Week 

Length: Temporary (6 months)

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical or Device or Application.
• Minimum 5 years of Rail or aerospace industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electro-mechanical systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in specialized or cross-functional experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Technician Operati on Standard.
• Good aptitude for troubleshooting electromechanical systems and embedded software.
• Mid-level power application knowledge across industries
• Effective technical communication / reporting both orally and in writing.

Additional Information:
