Job Description

Position Summary:
Directs and guides the Finance Team, overseeing all financial operations at the US Mobilization Gateway. Responsible for aligning Finance with the overall strategy of Pioneers, working to maximize efficiency in balance with service to missionaries and the international movement.  Serves as an organizational leader, providing input for the growth and development of Pioneers in conjunction with senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Committed to global missions and overall vision of Pioneers
• Must practice and support the relevant elements of the US Mobilization Base Manual
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance with progressive roles of responsibility and leadership
• Minimum of a BS, MBA preferred 

Responsibilities:

• Participate in senior leadership meetings, providing input in the development of the organization’s strategic plan and financial models.
• Advise senior leadership on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
• Oversee accounting, financial operations, grant vetting, tax and treasury operations.
• Supervise, train and develop leaders and staff on the Finance Team.
• Work with investment advisors to devise and execute on investment policies in consultation with the Audit Committee and Foundation, to ensure all funds are invested appropriately.
• Oversee the effective use and management of real estate assets supporting the mission.
• Build scalable, efficient, and well-controlled financial management practices.
• Oversee finance functions, building appropriate reports and developing the financial analysis needed for management and to supply to the Board of Directors.
• Develop budgets and forecasts across the organization, including capital improvement plans.
• Manage relationship with the Board of Director’s Audit Committee Chair and the Foundation Chair, participating in meetings for both on behalf of the CEO and CAO.
• Manage relationship with third-party auditing firm, as well as overseeing the audit process.
• Guide finance management in the functions of accounting, financial reporting, budget and treasury activities. Ensure compliance with GAAP and ECFA guidelines, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
• Partner with HR on payroll and benefits discussions.
• Assess business and financial risks, recommending policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
• Provide support and analysis for new revenue generating models.
• Participate in the management of the various legal entities of Pioneers-USA, to help them achieve their goals.
