We are a warm, respectful, and easy-going family in Jersey City, NJ, seeking a responsible and caring student helper to assist with our 7-year-old daughter's weekend classes and activities. This role involves working on weekends, and the typical hours are 2-4 hours per day during late mornings or afternoons, with occasional evening availability for date-nights being a plus. Your main responsibilities will include escorting our daughter to and from her classes and activities, supervising her during transitions and breaks, and providing light support such as snacks and keeping things organized. We seek someone who can be a kind, steady, and encouraging presence, supporting her energetic and curious nature as she learns new things. The ideal candidate is a college or graduate student who enjoys working with children, is responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious, and is a strong communicator. Prior babysitting or childcare experience is a plus but not required for the right fit. We prefer non-smokers, and references are available upon request. Our daughter is already quite independent but benefits from having a supportive adult around during her various activities.
