Hiring a bilingual (Spanish and English speaking) certified Medical Assistant for a primary care office.

This is a contract to hire role for our MetroWest office. 

Medical assistants in primary care offices perform both clinical and administrative duties to support physicians and other healthcare professionals. They serve as a vital link between patients and providers, helping to ensure efficient and high-quality care.

Requirements

Clinical Duties

• Take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Perform basic laboratory tests
  
• Administer medications as directed by physicians
• Explain treatment procedures and medication instructions to patients
• Draw blood and give injections (where permitted by state law)

Administrative Duties

• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Update and maintain patient medical records
• Handle billing and coding for insurance purposes
• Manage inventory of medical supplies
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
• Coordinate referrals and laboratory services
