Job Description

We are seeking a talented CNC Operator with experience in a fabrication environment. This person will join a company staffed with artisans crafting challenging and beautiful works of furniture and lighting in a creative work environment. Reporting to and under the direction of the Shop Floor Metal Manager, this person will work both independently and in cooperation with internal staff.

Responsiblities

- Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling - Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results - Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality - Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part - Ensure that results of machining process align with expectations - Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines - Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications - Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts - Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result - Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly - Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality - Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production

Qualifications

- Proven experience as CNC operator (5 to 8 years) - Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings - Computer savvy with understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM - Mechanical aptitude and good math skills - A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach - Good communication abilities
