Job Overview

The Service Technician is responsible for completing small construction projects and responding to customer service calls . This role involves performing electrical installations , managing journeymen and apprentice electricians , and ensuring high-quality work that meets industry standards. You will play a key role in maintaining Stryker Electric’s reputation for excellence .

As a Service Technician at Stryker Electric, you will:

  • Lead small crews to complete projects independently or as part of a team.
  • Estimate project timelines and material needs, providing written estimates to the Service Manager.
  • Identify sales opportunities and build strong customer relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, owners, service managers, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Update as-built drawings and ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes.
  • Determine efficient installation methods for modifications to existing electrical systems.
  • Provide daily updates to the Service Manager regarding scheduling and work progress.
  • Obtain and order materials as needed to complete projects efficiently.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of electrical experience in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  • Journeyman Electrical License.

Preferred:

  • Valid Driver’s License.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional communication with clients and contractors.
  • Ability to complete electrical repairs and maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools commonly used in electrical work.

  • May require occasional extended hours and overtime to meet project deadlines.
