JUNIOR LEVEL GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Full-time, permanent role

Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)

SALARY: $55,000 to $60,000 annually plus benefits



ALTA IT Services has a direct-hire opening for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Entry-Level Graphic Designer with a strong focus on Photoshop to join our client’s in-office team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about photo editing, retouching, and optimizing images for e-commerce platforms. You will work closely with a photographer to enhance and prepare product images for online retailers and the client’s Shopify store. Additionally, you will assist in pre-production and production for photo and video shoots, ensuring smooth execution.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Expertly edit and retouch product images to meet eCommerce standards, ensuring consistency, clarity, and high visual appeal.
• Collaborate closely with the photographer to process and optimize images for Amazon, Shopify, and other e-commerce platforms.
• Maintain color accuracy, sharpness, and product detail across all edited images.
• Apply clipping paths, masking, shadowing, and enhancements to product images to create a polished final result.
• Assist the team in pre-production tasks such as gathering props, setting up backgrounds, and organizing product samples for photo and video shoots.
• Provide on-set support during production, including styling products, adjusting lighting setups, and ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Develop marketing and social media assets as needed while maintaining brand consistency.
• Assist with print and digital design tasks using Illustrator and InDesign (Photoshop remains the primary focus).
• Stay up to date with design trends and eCommerce best practices for product imagery.

• Advanced proficiency in Photoshop (masking, retouching, color correction, compositing, and batch processing).
• Experience with Illustrator and InDesign (for occasional print/digital collateral).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency across all assets.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable assisting in both pre-production and on-set production for photo and video shoots.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience in eCommerce, product photography editing, or photo retouching is a plus.

• Work in a fully in-office creative team with direct collaboration between designers and photographers.
• Gain hands-on experience in eCommerce design and develop expertise in photo editing for online sales.

SALARY: $55,000 to $60,000 annually plus benefits
