Senior Landman – Surface Operations
Direct Hire; up to 200K + bonus 
Midland | Houston

The Senior Landman will lead surface land operations in the Permian Basin, serving as a trusted advisor to support company growth. This role reports to the Vice President of Land and is based in Midland or Houston, TX. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute advanced surface land operations and agreements

• Negotiate and manage ROWs, easements, surface use and related contracts

• Build and maintain landowner and stakeholder relationships

• Support asset teams with land expertise for construction and commercial projects

• Manage surface title, due diligence, acquisitions/divestitures, and expansion projects

• Collaborate with Legal, Business Development, and internal teams

• Mentor and develop support staff; maintain accurate land records

• Conduct field visits and ensure compliance with company safety policies

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years of Landman experience (in-house preferred)

• Extensive Permian Basin experience, with emphasis on the Delaware Basin

• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and project management skills

• Ability to work independently in a performance-driven environment

• Proficiency with Quorum ODL (or comparable system), Microsoft Office, and mapping software

• Ability to travel and visit field sites

Preferred Qualifications

• AAPL Certified Professional Landman (CPL)

• E&P small or start-up company experience
