Job Title: Skilled Trades Recruiter

Summary:

The Trades Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring skilled trades professionals, including but not limited to technicians, installers, and service managers. This role requires a working understanding of the HVAC industry and trades recruitment, along with strong networking and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build relationships, evaluate technical qualifications, and create a positive candidate experience.

Location:

This role is onsite at EMCOR Services Aircond’s headquarters in Smyrna, GA.

Travel:

Occasional day and overnight travel will be required for this role for recruitment fairs and events, and interviews in our different office locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage the end-to-end recruiting process for trade roles, from job posting and candidate sourcing to interviewing and onboarding.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, industry networks, trade schools, referrals, and local communities to build a strong pipeline of HVAC professionals.
  • Screening & Assessment: Conduct thorough initial screenings to assess technical skills, certifications, experience, and cultural fit for the company and specific projects.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with trade schools, industry associations, and local communities to attract skilled HVAC talent.
  • Employer Branding: Represent Aircond at industry events, career fairs, and virtual events to promote our company as an employer of choice.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all hiring processes comply with industry regulations and company policies, maintaining accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Collaborative Hiring: Partner with hiring managers and department leads to understand their staffing needs, offering insights on market trends and effective recruitment strategies.
  • Data & Reporting: Track key recruiting metrics, such as time-to-hire, applicant flow, and source effectiveness, and provide regular reports to leadership.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a smooth, respectful, and transparent candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
  • Additional Role Support: Support and assist the HR team with additional company roles (Sales, Administrative, Finance, etc.) as they come open.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Recruiting experience.
  • Experience in the HVAC industry or other trades preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, technical certifications, and industry requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • Excellent networking, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with trades professionals.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), sourcing tools, and recruiting platforms.
  • Strong ability to match candidates with job requirements, balancing technical skills with cultural fit.
  • High level of accuracy in record-keeping and compliance with hiring policies.
  • Ability to manage high-volume recruiting and adjust priorities as hiring needs evolve.
