EcoLube Recovery, a Pacific Northwest-owned and operated company, is seeking a Vacuum Truck Route Driver to join our team in Puyallup, WA. As a key member of our operations, you will operate a new, state-of-the-art 3,000-gallon Peterbilt vacuum truck equipped with a pressure washer and hoist tank. This role is essential in servicing both existing and new clients, supporting the development of a new line of business, and ensuring the safe and efficient collection and transport of waste materials. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class B vacuum truck to service customer locations as scheduled
• Perform oil/water separator cleaning, catch basin cleaning, and maintenance of water discharge systems
• Measure and estimate volumes of solids and liquids in holding units
• Connect hoses, operate vacuum pump, and ensure accurate transfer of materials
• Record quantities pumped, hours worked, and units cleaned; issue receipts to customers
• Organize and execute route service events efficiently, including responding to call-in service requests
• Communicate regularly with Customer Service/Dispatch throughout the day
• Deliver collected waste to the company plant or designated facilities for processing and disposal
• Maintain positive customer relationships and inform clients of additional EcoLube services
• Load and unload truck daily; keep truck clean and in good operating order
• Accurately complete all required customer and DOT paperwork
• Address and resolve service complaints, involving management as needed
• Comply with all company safety, environmental, and operating procedures
• Act professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class A or B vehicles
• 1-2 years of route-based driving experience preferred
• Valid Class B CDL
• Hazardous Materials, Air Brakes, and Tanker endorsements required
• TWIC card required
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Basic math skills
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Manual dexterity to operate equipment
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move more than 100 lbs
