Description of Work:
The Assistant Director of Graduate and Professional Student Experience will collaborate with campus partners to facilitate or deliver programming and/or services to create a positive and equitable graduate student experience from acceptance of admission through graduation for on-campus and online graduate and professional students to support student success, retention, and timely completion. This includes facilitating communication among various campus offices that serve students (e.g. Student Life, ISSO , Student Advocacy and Support ) and supporting graduate students and/or graduate faculty to promote student success in a culturally sensitive and equitable manner (e.g., aligning expectations, developing plans and goals for academic progress). The Assistant Director will coordinate onboarding events and programs across campus and lead OGS onboarding events, in collaboration with the OGS admission team. The Assistant Director will monitor for needed updates for the OGS student experience webpages. As part of creating a positive and equitable student experience, the Assistant Director will monitor that departments have written conflict resolution policies and procedures and work with the Associate Dean or Dean of Graduate Students to develop such policies if needed. As a key member of the Associate Dean's Team, the Assistant Director will support other team initiatives including facilitating workshops, developing programing, and/or assisting with events.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and two years' experience in higher education or Master's degree and one year of experience in higher education. Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate workshops and programming. Demonstrated skills with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software. Proven ability to interact effectively with diverse populations. Proven ability to interact effectively with international students and faculty and with senior administration. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education student affairs, experience or training in conflict resolution.
Posted Salary: $50,000/yr. minimum
