About the Role

The Senior Business/Systems Analyst acts as a vital link between business and technology, translating business needs into actionable program requirements and successful implementations.

Responsibilities

• Manage data and reporting requests, develop and deliver training and additional materials, and act as a liaison between the business and technology to clearly communicate business/system requirements and needs regarding data reporting, reports, and KPIs.
• Work to standardize data definitions, maintain the report inventory, assist in performing ongoing data analysis to evaluate program performance, and analyze linked data from different sources, ensuring that stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions and track progress.
• Support the development and delivery of various reports, using their data analysis expertise to evaluate program performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive data-driven optimizations
• Proactively monitor trends and emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on the business and making recommendations for innovation and strategic adaptation.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong background in business process analysis, system implementation, and data management/reporting.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (business, technology, and stakeholders) to define and document requirements.
• Hands-on experience with data reporting, KPIs, and data analysis to drive business decisions.
• Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Data Analysis & Reporting Tools: SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Excel (Advanced), Google Analytics.
• Business Intelligence (BI) & Data Management: Experience with data governance, defining data dictionaries, and ensuring data consistency across systems.
• Database & Querying: SQL, relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Requirement Gathering & Documentation: Use cases, user stories, process flows, and functional/operational specifications.
• Project Management Tools: Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Trello.
• ERP/CRM Systems (a plus): Salesforce, SAP, Workday, Oracle ERP
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to act as a bridge between business and IT teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to assess business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proactive approach in identifying emerging trends and recommending business innovations.
• Experience in training, documentation, and change management.

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $47.11/hour - $62.81/hour
